Sweet Rice - Montgomery: A Taste of Korea in Alabama

A really nice korean cafe! We were just passing through Montgomery on the way home and decided to check it out. The owner greeted us and was friendly and explained their menu. We really enjoyed how sociable and helpful she was. We got some fish-shaped cakes, one with red bean paste and one with peanut butter. We also got some korean iced coffee. It was all really delicious and we felt like we got to experience a little piece of Korea. We live three hours away but we definitely want to stop by again if we are in the area!

Update! We came back with more family and we all shared 2 different bingsu bowls, one mango and the other was called injeolmi bowl. It was very good again! We also got the fried fish waffle with Nutella on the inside. They were so yummy. Recently me and my mom have been trying to find local places that we haven't been to yet, and this place was AMAZING. The dessert bowl I got was incredible! I got a small mango shaved ice bingsu and it was a really big portion. The shaved ice kind of turns into creamy texture, and it was so good and refreshing, there was mango toppings on half, and half Boba mango flavor on top with some ince cream on top. This was the best thing I have had recently. There's lots of other things as such a cute/welcoming decor and atmosphere. The only thing is that some of the prices are expensive. But we loved itthat I want to come back and try. It h.

We were looking for a spot before getting back on the road and very happy that we found this place! Immediately greeted with the warmest welcome. The place is spacious with both Korean and French inspired decor. It was a nice atmosphere to sit, chat, and enjoy our bubble tea and fish waffles. The fish waffles were fresh and delicious! Went with the red bean and custard options. Recommend

My husband and I came here since another boba shop we frequent was closed and so glad we came through!! We walked in and gasped at how beautiful and charming the atmosphere was. We were greeted with a smile. We both had the cookies and cream boba tea which was nothing short of AMAZING!! I also order cream cheese fish shaped cakes (wafers)…these were also SO GOOD!! It’s a clean local shop with friendly faces. Highly recommended!!! Will most definitely come again!!

We had a fantastic experience at Sweet Rice. The owner was incredibly nice and kind to my daughter and me, explaining each item we wanted to purchase. The restaurant was exceptionally clean, and the staff was very friendly. My daughter loved the strawberry smoothie, and we all found the Nutella Fish Cakes to be incredible! I highly recommend stopping by Sweet Rice if you're in the area.

They have quite the selection of sweet rice treats and boba teas! They do have food so you can sit and eat but I was in and out for the coconut milk tea. It hit the spot!!!

Very friendly owner! We were greeted as soon as we opened the door. The rice cake tasted soft, chewy, and fresh. The shaved ice is also a perfect dessert during the hot summer. This is my go to for Korean desserts.

I've been here twice and they don't disappoint. The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. Everything is very clean even the restrooms. All of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I will be back to try some more desserts.
